Commonly Asked Pediatric Questions

The rules surrounding how often a child visits the pediatrician aren’t set in stone, but it is recommended that a child receive at least seven well-visits between the ages of one and four.

During the first year of a baby’s life, you’ll likely visit the doctor six times—that’s every two months. These visits will consist of measuring the height, weight, and size of your baby’s head, running tests, and providing immunizations. Additionally, we’ll evaluate their hearing and vision. The number of visits may be more depending on whether or not your child requires additional medical attention.

Between the ages of one and three, we advise visiting your pediatrician every three to six months. Once your child reaches the age of four, you’ll only be required to make annual visits unless otherwise specified.

If you have questions regarding your child’s health, call Harmony Health Clinic at (870) 587-0800. Our team will be happy to answer any questions you may have and schedule a follow-up appointment.

Yes, absolutely. Between puberty and hormones going haywire, your child could benefit from having a general pediatrician to keep things in check. We’re not just here to treat sports injuries and diagnose illnesses but also here to listen and provide advice to your son or daughter.

By making an appointment with Harmony Health Clinic’s pediatric team, you’re opening the door for your child to gain more knowledge and understanding. Here they can ask questions about their ever-changing body, experimentation with alcohol and intercourse, emotional changes, and other topics of conversation they might not feel comfortable having with a parent.

Yes. We require all new patients to fill out our new patient forms, but we also ask that you bring additional information with you for a pediatric visit.

  • Insurance cards
  • Complete immunization records
  • Medical records from your previous pediatrician

If you’re not able to provide us with tangible copies of the immunization and medical records, we ask that you provide your previous pediatrician’s contact information. Our guest services department will then coordinate for all records to be faxed over to our office.
